Britain's leader will push supporting countries to deliver Ukrainian forces with more long-range missiles to hit Moscow's positions during talks in London on the upcoming Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome President the Ukrainian head of state alongside what's known as "alliance of supportive nations", consisting of more than 20 of Kyiv's partners who have pledged to offer the Ukrainian government security guarantees once a ceasefire is brokered.

Zelensky has been pleading for an extended period for more long-range weapons from the West, a move that Russia has stated would escalate the conflict.

President Zelensky is travelling from the EU capital, where he held talks with EU leaders on yesterday pursuing financial support.

"The sole individual involved in this conflict who declines to stop the conflict is the Russian leader," Sir Keir said.

Britain's leader will also declare that 100 extra anti-aircraft missiles will be supplied to Kyiv earlier than planned, as specified in a substantial financial arrangement reached between the United Kingdom and Kyiv in March.

International Support

The Ukrainian president arrives off the back of significant diplomatic successes this week: the US President's move to finally apply further sanctions against Russia, and European countries consenting to support Kyiv's budgetary shortfall.

Sir Keir is hoping to sustain the forward movement by increasing the influence on Russia to negotiate a conclusion to the hostilities.

Sir Keir will press delegates to ramp up the delivery of advanced missile technology following a successful attack on a manufacturing site in the Bryansk region, the Russian Federation, using UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles.

"And his brutal attacks on innocent children in a daycare this week make that abundantly clear," he continued.

Several minors were included in no fewer than seven lost in multiple Russian strikes on Ukraine, which hit a nursery in the second biggest city the eastern city.

Financial Discussions

Sir Keir will consult Western allies on approaches for withdraw Russia's petroleum resources from international trade.

They will furthermore consider using blocked Russian resources to supply Kyiv with financial loans, while the initiative encountered divided opinions and jurisdictional challenges at the Brussels summit on Thursday.

European nations declined to approving a plan to utilize up to €140bn in blocked Moscow funds to monetarily assist Ukraine.

However, the participants agreed to contribute to Kyiv's "economic requirements" for the upcoming biennium.

America also announced sanctions on recently against the Russian biggest energy corporations, Rosneft and the private firm, as element of actions to add financial pressure on the Kremlin to enter peace talks.

The Russian government launched its full-scale invasion of the country in winter 2022. The invading forces presently holds about one-fifth of the country's land, comprising the southern Crimea peninsular Russia annexed in several years ago.
