Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in specific - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court since spring of 2023.
Success also means Medvedev has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, including in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had led some to doubt if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five games to go ahead.
The competitors swapped break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 initial opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a return after a lengthy match.
